The Ask and what I Pitched.
Moon projections at 4x3 aspect ratio with Swans flying by at 16 x 9 aspect ratio through both sets of projections at the same time. Sure and make the transformation scene interactive by controling the swan flight patch with the media server.
What I did.
Fort this project I invented speed ramps for movement controls and scenery movements. I combined that with alpha wipes to chase scenery as it flew in and while curtains were pulled across the stage. Use of encoders on scenery did not make the budget.
How I did it.
All programmed on the Grand MA Lighting desk utilizing Pandoras Box media server as they have the smoothest X,Y,Z controls via DMX
What I used to do it.
Stop watches for timing. Manual override faders for speed controls on the Grand MA Lighting Desk. Scale matching swans flight superimposed on top of each other facilitating seamless transitions of swan flight from 16 x 9 cloud panoramas in front of moon projections. At that time it was the first use of alpha channel playback with pro-res on Pandoras Box Media Servers.
